Editorial Fellow, Foreign Policy

I commissioned, edited, and fact checked argumentative articles, analyses and reported dispatches from freelance journalists, academics and international relations practitioners. Produced newsletters, wrote social copy, assisted with print rollouts, maintained editorial calendars and managed website homepage and submissions. Director of Podcasting and Audio | 147th Managing Board, Columbia Daily Spectator
February 2021 - May 2024
I served as the Director of Podcasting and Audio for SpecAudio podcasts, a branch of The Columbia Daily Spectator (Columbia University's Daily Newspaper). As Director, I managed a team of journalists, producers, and composers to produce journalistic content for four podcast streams. In addition, I helped lead a task force to establish lasting institutional relationships between Spectator leadership and key West Harlem leaders, sources, and businesses.
I also facilitated collaboration between audio and other journalism or engineering departments at Spectator, and mentored journalism trainees on journalistic ethics, script writing, and interviewing skills.
I produced my own content, including investigative pieces on Columbia’s healthcare accessibility and contemporary curriculum.
As a founding member of SpecAudio, I helped to conceptualize the audio section’s organization at its advent and created the framework for section longevity.
Foreign Policy Roundtable Chief Senior Editor, Columbia Political Review
October 2021 - May 2024
I wrote articles for the new Columbia Political Review foreign policy roundtable in order to understand contemporary sociopolitical issues through a global lens. I collaborated with other staff writers and editors to provide a comparative analysis of perspectives of various countries.

Executive Board Member, Columbia Political Union
September 2020 - August 2022
I served as a Civic Scholar Fellow and Freshman Outreach Director on the executive board of the Columbia Political Union. CPU "seek[s] to enhance involvement in the political process, domestic and international, and draw every member of the campus community into an ongoing discussion of political ideas. As a multi-partisan group, we strive to incorporate all points of view, and voices from a variety of political backgrounds."

Byline: WyoFile is a podcast that goes beyond the headline of Wyoming's most important news stories. I developed the podcast as part of a summer internship at WyoFile. I script, edit, produce, and host this podcast.

Better Wyoming works to educate, organize, and mobilize Wyoming residents on behalf of statewide change. I worked as a consultant to help develop a Better Wyoming podcast.
Voter Outreach/Democracy Fellow, ColumbiaVotes
September 2020 - May 2021
I volunteer as a Fellow for ColumbiaVotes. Through my role I conduct targeted outreach to college students to engage them in voting registration and work to connect with voters through in-person and virtual landscapes. ColumbiaVotes aims to assist students in registering to vote and requesting absentee ballots. I was a fellow with the organization leading up to the 2020 election.

Social Media Intern, WYO Film Festival

As the social media intern for the 2019 WYO Film Festival I ran social media for the weekend long event, worked with festival runners observing planning leading up to festival, and covered the 3 day event and interviewed film makers.

During this month long internship, I worked in the newsroom under the editor of The Press, Ashleigh Snoozy. I contributed nine published articles mostly focused on niche groups within the larger Sheridan, WY community.
